When I Haven't Got My Late Breakfast Yet

Hello, I wanna share something. Before I tell what had happened to me today, I wanna ask a question. What will you do if you are hungry? Most of you probably will answer going somewhere to find any food to eat or cooking by yourself. Am I right?  But today, I didn’t do the same. I went to Language and Art Faculty seminar room when I haven’t got my brunch yet. Do you know what happened next? My desire for having my late breakfast disappeared. It is just because I had listened an interesting topic. It is about “Program Pertukaran Pemuda Antar Negara (PPAN) and Kapal Pemuda Nusantara (KPN) Provinsi Bali 2014” where people talk about going abroad and what they got through their experience. They talked through many photos and also videos. So interesting. Inspiring.

Anybody wanna go abroad for free?  Sure, so do I, I wanna. But it isn’t as easy as pie. Well to be honest, my purpose attending this seminar is to get information and listen my senior’s awesome experience. There is no anything else yet in my mind. I know, you have understood what I mean.

OK, this is time for me to tell you information which attached in my mind about this youth exchange program. Beside administrative completeness that should be fulfilled, another thing that is being the basic requirements in enrolling this program are having good attitude; good personality; good ability and creativity; high motivation and able to work in team ‘team work’.

This program was chance for them to learn unity and diversity. They met other people from other provinces at first before meeting other people in foreign country. They had chance living with a new family in a home-stay when they were in other country. Actually they did not only ‘learn’ but also ‘exchange’ and ‘travel’. They learn how to appreciate history, cultures, custom, and the nation’s priority; they learn how to interact in big community with different ethnicity, point of view, and life style; they learn to tolerate each weaknesses and imperfections; they learn how to contribute to our nation. They exchange. They exchange cultures (dance, song); they exchange sight upon issues such as in politics, economy, education, etc; they exchange ideas towards future. They travel. They travel to broaden their knowledge and they travel to get new things.

Well, that was what I’ve learned today. What did you learn? Let’s share. Hopefully it would be useful. All of this writing was written based on information which I got through Program Pertukaran Pemuda Antar Negara (PPAN) and Kapal Pemuda Nusantara (KPN) Provinsi Bali 2014 socialization by Purna Caraka Muda Indoensia (PCMI).Dapus
