Topsy- Turvy Lady (Metropop Novel)

Topsy- Turvy Lady
By Tria Barmawi

Topsy- Turvy Lady tells about a girl whose name is Gladys, a daughter of rich man. She lives in hedonic lifestyle. Gladys is in loves with Sandi, a guy with rootless family background. She was blinded by her love toward that guy. She prefers to choose Sandi than her family. Unfortunately, her life isn’t going better even getting worse. She was crossed out from the families list. The worst one, that guy leaves her when he succeeds draining Gladys’s savings and leaving so much debt in her credit card.

Finally, she realized that she is gullible. She was panicked and confused. She has to downsizing, lowers the standard living of her and tried looking for a job. Gladys is a university student and doesn’t have any skill enough yet for seeking a job. In the end, she decided being a babysitter.

In fact, Gladys is the youngest child in her family who is always spoiled by her parents. At first she doesn’t know how to treat a child. In the end, she enjoys that job moreover she loves it. She has planned to continue her study on early childhood education and eventually open a kindergarten or preschool at the end of her study.

What have I learned through this novel?

We have to listen our family’s opinion when they gave advice about our future husband. Almost all of their prediction is right. Don’t ignore theirs. You have to think theirs as a consideration. In the end, decision is in our hand.

Some parts of this novel persuade us to treat maids as family.

Just choose whether you change your environment or you are changed by the environment. In this novel, the girl who lives in hedonic lifestyle finally almost succeeds downsizing her lifestyle. She leaves branded bag, cloth and other branded things. In addition, she also influences her rich family to care with other poorer people and treats their house maids as a human rather to slave.

A true friend won’t leave us when we are facing the hardest moment in our life. For instance, a fake friend just stays beside us when we are rich and leave us when we faced bankruptcy. It's true, proverb of a friend in need is a friend indeed. In hard times we will know which ones is a true friend and which ones is pretending as our friend.

Don’t trust a guy easily especially a guy with rootless family background. Probably he just pretends as an employee in a company but in fact he is a jobless guy. Don’t let yourself is blinded by love too much.

A Wish for Love (Love is a myth)

“dayoe pushpa”

Metropop Novel
By Mariskova

A Wish for Love

A wish for a love is a novel which told us a woman named Kirana who is in relationship with a guy whose name is Rio. Kirana in relationship with him without feels any love. But, on the other side Rio loves Kirana so much. In Kirana’s opinion, two adults who care and respect each other are enough in braiding a good relationship. Love is a myth for her. Love just comes to less of people who are lucky and she thought she isn’t the one who belongs to lucky person. Till one day a Japanese guy attract his attention with his sickle moon eyes. This is the first time for her feeling what love is. It is so hurting. Then her closed friend, Julie said “if what you’re feeling hurts that much then it must be true, a love”. The guy who has that beautiful sickle moon eyes’ name is Fukuda Yoshiaki.

What do I learn from this novel?

I have learned it would be more hurting when you are just loved by someone but couldn’t reply his feeling as much as he gave to us. Probably, you might care a lot about him but you don’t have enough love for him. Then just let him go. Just differentiate weather it is a love, guilt or compassion.

Love doesn’t come as often as we wanted. When you have it, keep it. Don’t let it go.

It is a touching movie so much. It succeed to make my eyes are getting swollen because of crying. It is a must for you who haven’t watched it yet to take a look on this movie. Taare Zameen Par tells about a boy who has “DYSLEXIA” problem. He can’t read and write properly in his age of nine. He confuses of alphabet’s shape. For instance, he wrote letter ‘d’ as ‘b’ which looks similar. It means he got difficulty in knowing alphabets. Also, he sees that all the letters and the numbers are dancing. In addition, he is weak in catching instructions. He got difficult to follow the instruction of back to page 65, chapter 9, paragraph 4, lines 2. The boy name’s is Ishaan Awasthi.

Lecturer in Two Blade of A Knife

FINAL TEST OF WRITING (on the spot writing)
Paragraph: Comparing  and Contrasting Paragraph
Method of Development: One at a time
Topic: A teacher you dislike the most and the one you most admire

Lecturer in Two Blade of A Knife

As a student I have felt so many feeling toward a lecturer who guides me at a university. I have found so many differences about lecturer I dislike the most and the one I most admire. First of all, the one that I dislike the most is a lecturer whose promise cannot be holding. She just promise having class at CD period but she doesn’t come without any confirmation. Thus make us waiting for her too long and in the end just wasting time and energy. Also, I hate lecturer who only could blame our work or assignment without giving any feedback or clear explanation. Actually we need feedback and suggestion to make our assignment better. Unfortunately he just gives nothing and never come to teach us. Another one and the most horrible lecture is a lecturer who doesn’t aware of students’ activeness. He just focused on the final score that the student got when the final examination was held. He ignores the learning process when we presented our material well and asking a lot of question enough to the other groups. However, I admire a lecturer who is always punctual coming to class. One day, she has been sat in class, waiting for us when the previous class just took more time than it should be. Other lecturer that I admire is a lecturer who is willing to appreciate our work without blaming. She always gives advises and suggestion toward our assignment. Therefore, we know our mistake and finally motivate us to do the better one on the next assignment. The last and the most awesome lecturer for me is lecturer who is not only evaluate us through the score of our final examination but also do appreciate our activeness at class. He is always making a note toward all students’ name who asked any question in his class related to the theory that he was taught. It is a big motivation for us to show our activeness in learning then.
